Prism Community Hub
Explore the Prism Community Hub’s Purpose and Goals
Learn more about our dream of a physical community hub. Dubbed, Prism Community Hub, it will serve the London and surrounding areas.
At Why We March, we believe that change doesn’t just happen in the streets – it also happens around kitchen tables, in meeting rooms, on couches, and in shared spaces where people can be fully themselves.
For years, we’ve marched with pride, anger, grief, and joy. We’ve stood up against injustice and celebrated the beauty of our communities. But the truth is, marching is only the beginning. Our vision has always extended far beyond a single event or annual celebration. We’re working toward something lasting: a dedicated Community Hub – built by and for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in London and the surrounding region.
Why a Community Hub?
Because we know how a life-changing it is to feel safe. To be heard. To have a place where yo don’t need to explain yourself. To have access to support, resources, and people who care.
We’ve seen the gaps – the lack of affirming spaces, the disconnection among generations, and the barriers to essential services that so many in our community still face. From queer and trans youth who need a safe after-school drop-in, to seniors who are aging without support, to racialized queer folks seeking belonging, to disabled and neurodivergent community members often left out of conversations – we see you. And we’re building something for you.
What We Imagine
Our Community Hub will be a multi-purpose, fully accessible, and affirming space – a home base for community care, creativity, advocacy, and joy. Here’s what we dream of including:
A Resource and Support Centre
We want to offer direct access to practical resources – mental health supports, housing and food security referrals, peer support groups, legal advocacy, employment readiness workshops, and more. Our goal is to bridge the gap between people and the help they need.
A Cultural & Creative Hub
We dream of an open studio for queer aritsts and storytellers, a stage for drag and spoken word, a gallery for visual art, and a space to host film screenings, performances, and cultural celebrations – all centered on queer and trans voices.
A Place to Grow Together
Workshops, panel discussions, leadership training, healing circles, queer book clubs, sober social events, intergenerational meetups, community kitchens – the possibilities are endless. This will be a place to build skills, build networks, and build community.
A Permanent Home for the Movement
Our work doesn’t end after the march. The Hub will be a year-round space for organizing and advocacy – a place where local 2SLGBTQI+ groups can meet, collaborate, and grow stronger together. It will be the heart of our movement and a foundation for long-term change.
Rooted in Community, Powered by Love
This dream is big – and it’s rooted in the belief that we deserve more than survival. We deserve joy. We deserve to imagine and create new ways of being together.
This isn’t about creating something for the community – it’s about building it with the community. Everything we envision is shaped by the lived experiences and voices of the people we serve.
How You Can Help
We know we can’t build this alone. That’s why we’re calling on you – our friends, partners, supporters and fellow dreamers – to help bring this vision to life.
Whether you’re able to:

Let’s Build the Future We Deserve
Every march we’ve led, every voice we’ve amplified, every stand we’ve taken – it has all led us here. We’re ready to take the next step. We’re ready to plant roots.
We dream of a space where queer people don’t just survive – we thrive.
We hope you’ll stand with us, walk beside us, and help us build the hub we’ve always needed.
